To help you get the most out of StarPonyz, here’s a quick list of what the site has to offer…
- Become a registered user – it’s FREE!! and you will be able to visit more parts of the website than other people
- YOUR PERSONAL PAGE
- Once you become a registered user, the first thing to do is set up your personal page. Put in as much information about yourself as you want and then make your site really special by adding pictures, films and music to it.
- ADDING A SPECIAL PICTURE TO YOUR PROFILE
- Your profile picture is the one most people will see so is worth making it a good one.
- ADDING PERSONAL DETAILS TO YOUR PROFILE
- List your favourite music, movies, books, likes/dislikes, and write a fun paragraph that best describes yourself. It is easier to make friends if you give people some idea of what you like!
- MAKING FRIENDS ON STARPONYZ
By doing a lot on StarPonyz, you stand more chance of making friends on here. There is plenty for you to do on your own but there is a lot of fun to be had finding out about other riders and sharing tips and information. Here’s how you do it
- Chatting in the forum – it is totally safe. The forum was designed to help you make new friends and find out what other people know and think; just read what other people are saying and if you want to join in the fun go for it! Just click on the ‘post reply’ button to add your comment – it is very unlikely other members will be anything other than delighted to have you join in – that is why they are on StarPonyz too!
- Making friends; you can also meet people by going into the browse option in the Tack Room and looking at featured members and seeing who is also online. If you are both online together, why don’t you send them a message?
- Sending personal messages or posting bulletins is easy – For both go to the ‘Tack room’ and on the left hand side click on ‘Messages’ (or Bulletin) and this will direct you to your inbox. At the bottom of the page click on ‘Compose’ which will start a new message, simply add the friends’ username to the message and write your message. To send a bulletin it is the same process but in the ‘Bulletin board’ click on ‘Post a bulletin’ at the bottom of the page. This will now be shown to your entire friendship group.

How do I change my Profile Settings?
Click on ‘My Account’ on the Left hand side of the ‘Tack Room’ page. The top of the next page will contain a series of tabs, choose the ‘Settings’ tab. This will now give you three options, ‘Profile Settings’ is the correct option to take.

This will now give you three options; ‘Profile Picture’ is the correct option to take. You then click ‘Browse’ to choose whatever picture is saved on your computer. Choose the one you wish to upload then click the ‘Upload’ button

Click on ‘My Account’ on the Left hand side of the ‘Tack Room’ page. The top of the next page will contain a series of tabs, choose the ‘Edit’ tab. This will now give you three options, ‘Edit Pictures’ is the correct option to take.

Click on the ‘Browse’ tab on the left hand side of the ‘Tack Room’ Page. This will then show you all the ‘New members’, recently ‘Updated profiles’, ‘who’s online’ at the same time as you and ‘Featured Profiles’.

Click on ‘Showponyz’ tab at the top of the homepage, within the opened page you will have 5 options, the one in the middle says ‘Send ShowPony e-card’. If you choose this option it will then give you three boxes to fill out ‘Friends name’, ‘Friends email’ and the option to ‘Send a special message’. If you fill these all out accordingly, you are then ready to click on the tab below that says ‘Send ShowPony’.

Click on the ‘Showponyz’ tab at the top of the page; choose the option of ‘Make Showpony Wallpaper’, this will take you to a different internet window which will then give you three size optional and direction on how to make it your wallpaper on your computer.

In order to post a comment on the forum it requires you to register as a member of starponyz first. To do this you need to go to the top of the homepage and on the top right hand side there is a tab that says ‘Join or Log In’. If you click on this option, it will then show a page headed ‘Join Starponyz.com’. If you continue to fill out all your details including a valid email address, following the step by step guide next to the boxes and finish by clicking on ‘Join Starponyz’. Once this process is completed you will have an account which facilitates the participation in the forum.

Where you normally log in, which is in the middle of the homepage on the left hand side, there is a small link which says ‘Forgotten it’ underneath where you would normally ‘Log In’. This will open a new page that requires you to enter your email address and usual ‘Username’.

You need to Log In/Register and then click on the ‘Forum’ tab in the middle of the left hand side of the ‘Tack Room’. In the forum it requires you to pick a relevant subject out of the six options given i.e. ‘Ride Better’. Once you have chosen the subject that is most appropriate for your post, click on the link to open the subject. Following this, you will now have to click a tab that says ‘Post Topic’. The next page will require you to fill in the box with your ‘Forum Subject’, then enter any more detailed information in the larger box provided below. To submit the post press the ‘Post Reply’ tab at the bottom of the page

After you have logged into your account, on the ‘Tack room’ page there will be the ‘Browse’ tab on the left hand side of the page. This will bring up a list of all the starponyz members, you can then look at anyone’s profile by clicking on their display picture. If you click through to the members page, underneath their picture there is the ‘Add to friends’ option, you simply have to click this option and wait to be accepted by the chosen member.

We have noticed our members are beginning to add fun graphics onto their StarPonyz web pages. Some have added virtual pets, music, pictures, even videos and games. To our members who do not know how to do this, do not worry! The StarPonyz team are here to help with this and any other problem. The way it can be done is explained below and involves using html text. I know it sounds complicated but once you get the idea it becomes a great deal easier and opens up loads of opportunities, such as inviting members to a party on your page!!!
It is a specific kind of text document that is used by Web browsers (you the StarPonyz member) to present text and graphics on their web page (StarPonyz web page). Those who are familiar with Myspace, will have used this text when adding pictures, slides, games to their personal pages before. Many associated websites provide the complete html text below, when you choose a graphic e.g. a virtual pet. You then have to copy the html text and paste onto your page.
It is very similar to when you have changed your personal details on your web page. The first steps include clicking on ‘My Account’ on the Left hand side of the ‘Tack Room’ page. If you have a play list you want to add, then it makes sense to add the html text into the Music section. It is really important that once you have pasted the html text into the chosen box, you then save the changes. This is given at the bottom of the page, and you will know when you have because a message will say at the top of the page ‘Your account has now been updated’.
